2005 Indiana Pro Bro Event?

Hey IN, IL, KY and anyone else that might make the trip, Bros! I was thinking of having a Pro Bro event here at the Terre Haute, IN field. I spoke with some club members today and they felt it would be a good idea. I will need to get it OKed at a club meeting, but for now I need to know how many would be interested and if any venders would be interested. Terre Haute, IN seems to be a good centeral location for IN, IL and northeren KY Bros. Any thoughts? Thinking about sometime in June? :roll:

There was a big one last year at effingham IL that is really an ideal location. Im am pretty sure they are having it again next year. Thats a pretty short drive from TH. Not to throw a wrench in your plans because I would probably go myself, but there are getting to be so many, pro bro fatigue will keep people from going to several in the same area if they are scheduled too close

Exactly what he said. I would come to terra haute as it is only a couple hour drive, but I think we need to to concentrate on a big centrally loctaed event in effingham. Great site, and central to a lot of bros. That is what I am pushing for too. Sometime in the fall when we can count on the waether cooperating? But if you want to get my and ole smallfly up some time lets us know we might just come!

Like these guys said we are in the planning stages for a big one in Effingham next fall. I have already talked to the owners and the second weekend of September would be good. They already have something scheduled with full size aircraft on the last weekend, and the third weekend there is a big Vette show in town, and rooms might be hard to get. I would come to T.Haute for a fly-in if I don't have something going on. Tom

second weekend in September might be too close to the Nashville event. No way I could make both. :?

This event would replace nashville. It would be the mecca, the big one, the you better be there or count yourself as a coward of pro bros!

This event would be more centrally located to have a national pro bro! Can you imagine a entire week of pro bro madness????

That was my first reaction too. But if you think about it having the big mecca pro bro in the central US makes more sense. I am sure a lot more guys would have come if it had been closer. Not everyone is willing to drive like you and auger!

I would hate to see nashville replaced, but maybe it could just be a more local one, and not a National one? I hope that made sense???? :?

Uh..Nashville and Effingham are both pretty much in the center of the country. Just because Effingham is closer to you doesn't mean it's closer to everybody.

Actually smart guy, Nashville is closer!

I am not the one who came up with this but if you look at it on a map, Effingham is more central. Prolly St. Louis might even be better, but the site at Effingham is pretty good for one of these events. 3Dreaming is in charge of this, as he and Kirk would be the one's to put it on.

Pampa to Effingham=843.5 miles

Pampa to Nashville=920.2 miles

Auger's house to Capthis's house for a little ass kicking( becase Bryan has a smart mouth)=914.1 miles.

I wasn't talking about my drive. I couldn't care less how far it is, if some guys want to try to rub out the Nashville event, I wouldn't drive across town to attend.

I dont think effingham is being designed to replace nashville. Last I heard it was being thought of as a national pro bro, maybe the first of it's kind. The field is fantastic, long, open and tons of room. camping, a very nice diner on site with good cheap food and they love 3D. If it comes together you would not want to miss it and it's way to early to get your panties in a bunch about timing and rubbing other events out. Oh and all I only live 6 blocks from cap/crash, I will start the bidding at one speed controller to kick his ass

Actually It may be a good time to talk/e mail jwilliams and or 3dreaming to let them know when you could make it but I dont speak for them and certainly dont have any inside info on future events

Oh, I guess it must have just been a coincidence that they decided to have it pretty much right on top of the date of the Nashville Probro. That's cool.

OK!! Man! I did not mean to open a can of worms here. I was not aware of an event at Effingham. (New Bro). Sounds like the site at Effingham is a much better site than Terre Haute anyway. Our field is rather small and no place for camping at the field. Hotels are close though as are camping sites.

Anyway, this Effingham and Nashville thing is nuts. I would think that any event should not be scheduled over top of am already scheduled event.

I would come to a fly in in Terra Haute. Call it what you want, Pro Bro, Fun Fly, Fly Day, whatever... Just one more day to fly with everyone, I'm getting a lot more comfortable crashing in front of a croud. It would be cool 8) .. And If they decide to have another one in Effingham, I'll be there too. Heck, I may even mow the runway for them..
