Clearing out the closet

PostPosted: Sun Jun 28, 2020 7:47 pm

Haven't flown in a while, interest just isn't there anymore. Got other interests and need to raise some cash for that.

OS 120AX used. Bought from a bro here. I haven't run it. Been sitting on the shelf since I bought it. Good compression and looks good. $150 shipped.

Saito 100 used. Same story. Bought here and been sitting on the shelf. $150 shipped

Futaba 14SG /w Futaba case. Bought used from RCG, I think. Looks and works great. Case has a broken latch though. $225 shipped.

I'll add pick if anyone needs them, but you all know what these look like!

With Doug considering cutting some 60 Mojo and/or Primo kits I'm surprised someone didn't jump right on that Saito 100. I'd buy it but can't wring out the cash right now.

That's actually the reason I bought them in the first place.

Yeah, I'm trying to grow my CNC hobby into something that will generate a bit of income. Getting into inlays and stuff that requires resaw capability to avoid wasting a ton of wood. My current 14" bandsaw will only do 6" max so I'm looking at either a Rikon 10-326, Laguna 1412 or a Grizzly 0513X2. Leaning toward the Rikon right now because they are available fairly local so I will avoid freight costs.

I have the older version Grizzly G0555 and it's kinda flimsy, and the motor has no cooling vents.
My brother got the Grizzly G0701 and it's a 500+lb beast. We used it to process lumber from a couple downed trees.
If you don't need that heavy duty of a saw, any of the three you posted would be fine. I think I favor the Laguna though.
