EVO Cap 50" run 2 - judging interest

EVO Cap 50" run 2 - judging interest

PostPosted: Tue Feb 24, 2015 2:38 pm

I'm starting to get a lot of PM's and general noise from people wanting more EVO Cap 50's. If there is enough interest to make it worth my while (~10 kits) I will do another round of kits after hobro time, so May-June-ish.

Special notes: Construction methods will be unchanged. The current methods have pretty well proven themselves with the first run. I will however be modifying this set for removable wing capability. I intend to make it possible to build the kit either way. You will simply need to order a wing tube that I will specify from TNT products and build the kit per the RW directions. Price should be similar to the first run, $150 or so unless something from one of my suppliers has gone up significantly.

This is only for caps. The edge design still isn't finished and I don't expect it to be before the kit run.

If you would be in for a kit (or two) in this upcoming run please put your name down so I can get an idea of real interest.

Removable wing sounds awesome. Saving my cash for the Stix though. If I have some spare funds when you do the kit run I will get one. Just have to see.

Hey, Ian... I know you're busy and all, and haven't finished drawing in the Evo540 plans yet, but I just counted, and as of now you've got more interest in the Edge than the Cap in this thread! Just sayin'...

That motor is great on a 4 to 1 1/4 lb bird. Maybe some here can list the final weights of their Evo planes? If much heavier than 4 1/2 pounds, then maybe consider a different motor, but I would say up to 4 1/2 pounds would be fine.
