Thanks for the info Bob, I'll be tweaking the wood list for the next run so that people don't have to get creative! Glad its coming together well for you.

Looking good John! Reminds me a lot of the first EVO cap prototype that I did in transparent yellow!

Has anyone put nitro on one of these yet, or do I get to be the guinea pig?

Thanks.

Yours should fly awesome at that weight. That's the same battery setup I plan on using, but with a Hacker A40-14S.

Bob, I will be interested to hear how that motor performs on a 4 3/4 lb plane. I have a 60 LamYak that will come out at exactly that weight and was considering the A40-14S, or if I should bump up to the 500KV 6S systems that I know work great on 5 to 5 1/4 lb planes.

I just finished all of the wood structure on my Evo Cap. Weight of everything (plus tube), prior to sanding is 25.3 ounces. Did anyone else weigh theirs at this point?

I've been using MKS 1210's and I've flown one with the popular new (and cheaper) solars and they were good. Use something metal gear and reasonable torque. I'm sure someone will chime in here with the solar # momentarily. I can't remember...

Thanks. I have several NIB JR. 8411s. I'll probably just use them.

LOL , I was wondering where my carbon strip was after reading this . It was in the box with the correct plane . Was looking through my Stix46 stuff till I realized it was the wrong plane . When you start getting kits confused with each other its time to start building some of them .
