Wow... Is that possible?

Oh... It's a good idea, but I really don't wanna bother him. He is trying to get his own planes and bringing a Yak ARF on a big box would be a problem to him... :?

Here's my "mini CY". It is exactly 87% of original size resulting in a 41" wingspan. I was fortunate enough to get a CY kit and scaled it down. I watched Wild Fred's 3lb Mojo and later 3lb LamYak threads with great interest, and also had a bunch of OS 40FP's stock piled. I overbuilt it as I always do (and you can see in the pics). It has a tube from halfway over the wing saddle to halfway down the tail, and also has CF on the fuse bottom. WF would have used smaller size and lighter wood than I did. I used wood that I got cheap at swap meets, but it also turned out to be heavy. I also build with wood glue & epoxy. I was planning on building a 3lb plane so I started looking on ebay for light gear. I was able to stock up on new JR 3121 servo's (Retail $99.99) for under $20 ea. 2 of them I got for $12. I scored a brand new JR 3421 ($119.99 retail) for $25, and used that for the elevator control. I got a good deal on a new Berg 7P RX. Picked up a new Hayes 4oz. tank at a swap meet for $1. The covering is Trans Blue and Pearl White Ultracote. My goal was to be at or under 3LBs. I tend to overbuild and was worried, but I weighed the components and plane parts as the build progressed, and I was pretty certain that I would be under 3lb. I succeeded!! The final weight came in at 2lb 14oz. with the stock muffler on the FP. First flights were a blast and I was very pleased with the plane. Wanting more power, I put a MCP on it. This probably also saved an oz or so of weight over the stock muff. Power is ballistic now, and thanks to Gators recommendation, I was right there with the top planes in the 1st vert drag at Sat. Nashbro. The mini CY is a joy to fly and holds on to the Chinn Yak qualities well. I let Seebot, Gator, and Caveman fly it at Nash and their comments were positive. I hiked 3/4 mile up a bluff for the top pics, and the bottom 3 pics were taken by Ron (TriFlyer3D).

Believe it or not I didn't like mine at first...until I put a gallons worth of fuel through it and couldn't out it down!

I can't wait for LouisBro this year so I can get another one! Thanks again for the hook up, Matt!
