I did seriously ask our club President and he is ok with this. I'll discuss further, but we can make this happen.

So my question to you all is are people really gonna come out? There isn't going to be any planning so other than use of the field I hope y'all don't want much! :)

Well you know I'll show up. Seriously It's a great field. Lots of covered area for people and planes, lots of electric outlets, good parking area, concrete and grass runway, indoor toilet and plumbing.

Now that the event is in your backyard, maybe I can stop by, swim in your pool and eat some burgers?

Hanging with an American Hero, eating his hamburgers sounds like a good Saturday to me! :)

We haven't found a house yet, but the lack of a pool is a priority. We have one at the house we are moving from and I'm over it. Burgers can happen though :tu:

I haven't been in a pool in years but Nashville is within driving distance :)

Chums C'mon! Cept it's a pond but the suburban people call it a "lake" but it would be a pond on the farm and would have cattle in it but I'm sure that's frowned upon here.

Ok, instead of swimming, maybe you can get a bunch of your riding lawn mowers out, set up a course and have races. I'll sure the Bros would love that!

So Ill plan on campground host and stay onsite Wed-Sun,
We have full kitchen/Grill , if someone wants to help me out as a Club member, We have inside hangar storage .
It truely is a privately owned field that never gets used.

I have to lock myself inside gate cause onlookers are more likely than club members, had a guy last week duck under cable, knocks on trailer then tries to open latch, a beoch CJ from florida. wants to know when people fly I say never, club meeting is most likely time to see field occupied.

us fla. c.j.'s are pushy, no?

truth, I miss the respect of the hawaiians. people here are the most arrogant self centered people. most from new jersey, michigan, new york, etc. tho- not many florida natives. most of the people who grew up here in 70's have a little idea of aloha, growing up poor in small communities before florida got overrun. Thom is good people. most from rural ky and indiana are too. there are a few exceptions- that shall remain nameless, but a hint- they are the CHEAPEST horse traders here... :P

It's weird that CF decided to camp out the entire weekend of Sept 24-27 so evidently he'll be at the field all weekend. What a coincidence!

Our field has amenities. Nice on site bathrooms, women and men's. And a port a john for folks like WF. Running water, just don't drink it. Air conditioned club houses, two of them!

500' concrete runway, 700' grass I think. If you can't land on the runway here you need to stop flying. Last year we added a bunch of shade to the pits with the addition of more roof area. 10K worth of improvements.

There's also a great shotgun/trap/skeet/crazy quail range right up the road that's open to the public that's inexpensive for a clays.

Tons of local restaurants the other direction and not too far away.

Really nice gun store just a few miles away.

Two Cub Cadet dealers within a short drive of the field.

Jay,

Book them tickets, Ill leave my high dollar Swervos in my TH Veloxity, Remove the Graupner gyro/rx and put in the trusted Spread Rectum RX/Tranny combo you used all last time we met at Nash. That wayz you can just bind and fly all of WF shit..................This plane aint worthy of the Twisted name IMHO soon to become part of the spare EPP bin. IT does teach you a heavy wing 48" balsa throttle jockey below 1/2 powa skillz, Oh and if we get near 25 peeps, I can go the extra mile with a FASST RX/Module for that added security for Vert Drags.......

Oh ya, I can leave my airport limo" third vehicle" at the airport, good odds it will make it the 3.01 miles without a check engine light or overheating twice in 3 days......... :P

bummed to hear we can't have it in Leipers fork this year. Way cool that Cappy has stepped up and secured a field. Looking forward to hopefully making it for at least one day.

Is this the field that's right off I-69 on Warrick County Line rd?....edit...yes it is.
