Pin a 1/4x1/4x36 stick in place to the bottom of the fuse from the rear. pin the 1/4 sq left from outlining the Vertical to the gusset with the hole. Place the front of the canopy in place so the top joint is flush with the stick. There should be enough 1/4 sq left for the bottom front of the fuse. Glue all joints.
7.JPG
Cut and install the 1/4x3/16 vertical fin stringers, just guess on the spacing. Now the lower vertical thing faced with a piece of 1/4x3/16

Cut 4 - 1/4 sqx1 bass servo mounts and install along with the 1/4x3/16 fuse verticals and the tops of the servo openings.
9.JPG
Cut and install the rest of the fuse verticals, the triangle gusset and diagonals at the canopy area. Just needs 1/4x1/8 ply tail skid mount and 3/16 tri on the rudder post

Or I could just cut some

Nice work Mark! I like this design.. Similar to your Menace, but with tail feathers that will make it knife edge better... I can't wait to fly mine!

Mark, glad to see you posting the build thread!

If you have a spare 40FP or TT 42GP laying around, this is the plane for them.

At our altitude, a 40fp is great on a 3lb bird. My last stickit v was 2lb 14 oz and had good power.

Less than 9 ounces without a muffler.
Less than 12 ounces with the stock muffler.
About 11 ounces with a MCP.

The 46FX is about 13 ounces without a muffler.
Sorry, but it's WAY too heavy for a Wild Tiger.

A guy in the State Collage PA club has a TT .46 with a Macs muffler on his and it ROCKS  It's still living after a season of thrashing. It's on it's second rudder !
A 46 is going on the one in my avi this winter :drink:

The motor mount is a little different than usual. The outer ply skins are taller than the core to create a channel for the front of the fuse to nest in.

Glue the hardwood rails to the core. Radius the ends of the dowels for easy insertion, slip into the holes and center. Make sure they are straight and give them a drop of CA.
Epoxy the ply skins on.
