2.4 receivers

So i looked at 2.4 receivers, the fyski cost a bit more than other off brands for v and d types are they that much better. The dsm2 are from cheap to bunch,so what shall i use ,i think radiomaster has d types cheap, guess they aren't as good. A lot to choose from, narrow it down or bring me up to speed please. And how bout brown outs,i still use 4.8 for now.

the only brown out frsky will give you is when you scare yourself really bad...

I have no experience with the FrSky compatible brand receivers like Radiomaster, Jumper, Motive, etc. Maybe somebody on here has tried them and can give some feedback. I'd suggest looking on the RC Groups Classifieds under the Radio section for genuine FrSky D6FR receivers. I've seen them recently go for as low as $15 shipped. The D6FR is one of the receivers that helped to build up FrSky's reputation, but unfortunately is no longer available.

I found some new old stock frsky 2.4 8 channel receivers for 25.00 so fixed up there, got 2 small dsm2 with mojos, and found some bigger ones. But what to do with all,and its a bunch,of neat jr stuff,so hard to leave the past. If you found a 1980 chev truck, with 10,000 miles would you drive every day, nope, out dated. guess its the same. yep,it will get you there, just not as comfortable and safe. Same with old TVs,no one wants them.

You tell the truth, had some bad years on cars, trucks to. Sagging doors and hoods that bend, poor gas mileage and over weight. now they perform much better, still kind of cheap made, but what is not.
