Love you Cappy.... (this is line two!)
Maybe I'm too sensitive, but I try and do the best job I can cutting and take some pride in my work. I try and cut as close to the outside of the line as I can and then sand up to the line very carefully. These are all hand cut parts and no hand cut parts are 100% perfect but they are as close as I can make them. So yeah when it appears I'm being accused of screwing up when I didn't, I take that a little personal!
Kind of like when Hooks accused me of not cutting spar notches in Slick kit that I gave him right, and he didn't even bother to print the plans off to build it. (yeah that's my fault)
Outside of the Diamond Dust kits I cut (which I gave away too) (only charged for the CF rods in them) I think my kits have been really pretty nice for hand cut kits. They are not CNC cut, but I'd like to see someone else cut any better than I do. The DD kits weren't the greatest because I didn't have the correct blade or setup yet to cut the play in those for as many as I cut at one time. I learned! But both JAG and I built ours and they look and fly fine. Well JAG's doesn't anymore cause he smashed his.....
I started cutting some kits and have had fun with the whole CCK thing. It's about gotten to the point where it's not fun anymore. Especially when I get to the point where I feel like I need to defend my work when all I ever wanted to do was have fun, and share this hobby with others. The whole CCK adventure hasn't ever made me any money, but it sure has cost money.
So now ya know how I feel, and I love ya too Mo, and I hope these turn out and fly well. I need to get started on building mine pretty soon so I can keep up with you and WF!
One thing I'm not sure of at this point is how we are goig to attach the control horn to the foiled rons. Perhaps I need to go study Steener's Laser thread and see how he did it? I'm not 100% sold on the foiled rons, but wanted to try them.
