CCK Exclusive 63" SU29 Profile for OS22GT Build Thread

So this has been in the works for a while. Allen started these plans for me from the idea in my head, and Chrissy finally finished them up after I spent a couple months looking at them and not being 100% in love with them.

I cut three full kits with one going to Smallfly and the other going to JAG. I hope they will post those builds here when they get started.

The idea here is to have a 20cc profile that is easy to scratch out has a minimum of cut parts, and flies really well. I hope it will do a mix of high energy and low slow stuff.

Once I know it flies well it will most likely will be released to the public for all to enjoy.

I have uploaded the plans. I would increase the size of the tabs on the root rib from these drawings, and make those out of 1/4" multi layer ply with lightening holes. In fact I would add lightening holes to all ribs as you see fit.

The plane flies really well as built with an OS22GT on the nose.

I got started today with the wing. I always try and build the wing first as too me its the most crucial part of the build.

Here's where I leave it tonight. Ready to flip and finish the other side. All conventional building techniques here.

mine will be 1 piece wing- transport no problem. styrofoam and ply. about 6 lb. got a few ideas/improvements in the foam construction to save weight.

It should fly nicely. I like the upgrades to the fuse design a lot.

The outline came from a random suk 3 view found on google images, then stretched into bro proportions. I'm not surprised it looks like everything else with a round cowl, but it is original.

I like WF response.... I think that needs to be added to the Brotherhood dictionary.

I’ve been HobbyKinged! HobbyKinged: when your patented design has been copied anyway.

Looks good Cappy. :tu: glad to CCK is still cutting kits. I do believe a hole at CG for ceiling hanging should become a patented part of all your designs. Would make it easy for the Bros to know where to pick them up and set CG too....

It's not a bad idea and then when you're putting them up for storage you can always just blame it on checking your cg.
