Old privacy fence got blown over in some bad winds a few months back. Finally getting around to installing the new fence. This time around we are going with just a 4’ tall dog ear picket fence. Basically just tall enough to keep the dogs in. Was a hard fought day getting these six post in the ground as I had to first dig up the old ones that where snapped at ground level and where set in concrete. Tomorrow the fun can happen installing the rails and pickets though. Then I get to do it all over again on the other side of the house.

Took the R-3 Bipe out again today. Moved the engine forward to help adjust cj, still tail heavy I suspect. It will fly upright and inverted fairly level, but still holding a fair amount of down elevator trim. Plan to move the cg forward more and see if that helps, and then probably take the incidence out of the top wing (currently +1) or so. And also plan to modify the rudder/fin so the plane has more fin, like the full scale plans for the R-3. Plan to make changes one at a time to see if it helps.
IMO I think bipes like a more forward cg, and with all the turbulence from two wings, struts, etc, a larger fin may help with tracking. There are so many variables.
You know how a MadYak 40 kinda has a mind of its own, thats a good way to describe this bipe, just worse

Take all this with a grain of salt, Im no expert in all this, just having a good time trying to figure things out :drink:
