Hanging out with Dave during my business trips to Atlanta was always the highlight of the trip. ( seeing Wesco and the rest of the gang was always great also )

I miss him too. Just looked through my PMs and we talked about a month before he passed away. He was looking forward to Nash. So sad.

I remember one year at nash he kept running into his own legs with his electric plane. He will be missed.

Just rewatched all the videos posted on this thread. Dave was the ultimate body language, steer the plane by moving the radio guy. Nothing but fond memories of an awesome dude!

At one Nash-Bro when Primo's were all the rage, I had been flying mine having a good time. At close to the end of Nash-Bro, he comes up to me and says: Dan, you really need to fly my Primo. His was electric, while mine was gas. Being it was the last day, and enduring and declining other offers of flying their planes........... He was SOOOoooo insistent that I fly it, and I agreed to do so. I had been watching him fly it, and was well aware at how well it flew.

So I take his plane out the flight line a bit, exercise the radio's, looking at the deflections of the control surfaces, playing with the throttle, and decided that there were no booby traps for me to worry about.

As soon as I took off, I knew I was in trouble. I proceeded to fly the plane and just having a ball. I was truly amazed at how the plane had changed by going electric.

To hear BirdBrain talk about it, I was dragging my tongue and penis on the ground back to the pits after flying the plane. He was just laughing the whole time I was flying it.

BirdBrain cost me over a thousand dollars once I got home. Batteries, Motor, Chargers, the whole bit. I very rarely flew gas after that.

RIP BirdBrain. Even now that I don't fly anymore, I still think of you on occasion.

The one year I was camped next to Birdbrain at Nash. I remember watching Him take an undamaged, great flying, and perfectly good Chinn Yakk to the line for the event that shall not be named.
