I know its been a while since I have been on here, but this plane is worthy! With Mo's help, I think this will be my best build to date! I love learning new techniques!

He doesn't want to mess up that fancy covering scheme he's worked so hard on with slime... :runaway:

Join the Profile 3D group on Facebook... all the build photos are there. I’m sorry, this posting one photo at a time really sucks. I thought I put some pics in the what are you building section. Norm has learned how important patience and low heat are when it comes to covering. :tu:

Plug needs to learn that low heat and go slow thing, still be rushing to much. I agree, that posting one pic at a time slow, but we are worth it. Gives the guys uplift to get building there own to,they need it,some are only flying box foam now,how do i know, they never post builds. Must be flying something,or maybe, gasp, there no longer flying.

Here y’all go... for a guy that covered stuff all white and added stickers, This is Norm’s first real layout and application. He is giddy beyond belief that he has pulled this off, yes, I’ve helped along the way, guiding when needed, redirecting thoughts... but I’ve tried to spend as much time as possible s reclining in my chair. At first he was apprehensive, but now, you’d think he owned the shop... glad to be hanging out building together...

Other than when you basically poserkote something, coming up with schemes does take some thought. I’ve got so many pictures saved of other peoples planes that I draw inspiration from... I’ve been doing it for so dang long though... the guys know I really love checkers :tu: even the red wing which is to my RadYak57”, the scheme is off the ExtremeFlight Slick. When I saw Jase with the prototype, I knew I was going to have to duplicate it... Norm then twisted it a little more and made it his. With multiple colors, there is a process as well. Norm was somewhat baffled when I told him to lay the white down first, it wraps all the way around trailing edge. When using preprinted checkers, they don’t reach the bottom of the hingeline, but who cares.... the checkers were then layer out over both wing panels on the wing tube with the ailerons attached. The sheet was then tacked into place and the two panels were separated. This aligned the checkers from tip to tip and from the wing to the aileron. There is so much in my head, I try to share it, but then finding it later is the hard part...
