Crack Bush beaver,anyone flying one?

PostPosted: Tue Jun 23, 2020 9:29 am

I was looking at twisted hobbies crack Bush beaver and it looks like one of the more rigid foamies without adding weight.
I’m impressed with the X-fuse and it should help EPp flex, strength and even support LG.
I’m thinking of getting one and it’s a bit high in price but someone put some thought into designing that plane.

Go for it! It is a high priced foamy, but well worth it in quality and design.
Put good digital servos in it and you will have a blast, and keep it light.
Mine had some quirks at first, but I found out I had some left thrust and an off lateral balance on it.
After those were corrected it flys great! Inverted performance is phenomenal!
Ground craziness like flying around on one wheel are a blast with the big tires.

I've never had a twisted hobbies foamie, but everyone I know that has one says they are 'the stuff'...and I know several. I don't really like paying that much for a foamie, but when my current foamies meet the dirt for the last time I'm going to go with one of their bipes, I think.

Put a lot of bipe flights on. They're slow and too tight but fun in a small area. The flying stab epp foamies from Value Hobby is a far better bang for the buck than Twisted. You can get a VH one in the air, with extra batteries and props, for the same price as just Twisted's foam.

TH just introduced a 39" flying stab foamy though, if I had time I'd get one. The flying stab really opens what what you can do with them.

I've owned 3 or 4 VH foamies. They are great planes. Having said that, my twisted hobbies crack yak is in a completely other league. Like comparing a Chinese arf to a mojo. Just my two pennies. :rockoncool:

The Turbo beaver small version was the only TW airframe I hated, mine was even 9oz RTFwith 4 aielron servos and all the fancy mixing I always felt there was no wing as almost 2/3 of it was moving ailerons. I dont miss it at all and between me and the grandkids we have 7 airframes. The larger beaver I have never seen one up close yet. Dam shame.....

I got the Revolta 39" TWH on the build table last two days, It quite a different build than the 39" Crak my grandson flies.
The Revolta is 2mm thicker foam on wing and fuse, full flying stab.

How much does a Dehavilland Beaver cost?

I’d probably get one of their Yak 32 or the 39” slab.

Which one is the 39” flying stab or is it the whole 39” category planes ?

^^^^^^^^
I couldn't agree more. I also have a twisted crack yak. It really is the best flying plane I have ever owned.
I put together the value hobby version of the beaver. It is fun,but the tail twists and wobbles and the plane is really in all honesty a P.O.S. The value hobby version is a cheap copy of the Crack beaver.
What I am getting at is I don't own a Crack beaver. But I don't think you would regret buying one. And I have many times considered buying one myself. Twisted hobby planes are expensive. But there is a reason. The best shit is always expensive
Everybody should buy there own damn EE60

Only the Revolto. My only concern with it is the wing tips. I'll have those molded in SFGs torn off in no time.
