You can't blame Cliff Lee for being bummed, going from the WS to, well, Seattle...

Eric Byrnes is this year's Russell Branyan? :shrug2:

yep, there is velcro on the back of the battery and the front surface of the mount. The mounts worked great and were rock solid, I was just being a dumbass and trying to slide the packs about 1/2 way forward on the mount to shift the cg a bit (she was climbing inverted) to see if I wanted to move the mounts forward and it didn't have enough velcro surface contact to hold it from sliding out.

Always open to some other ideas for mounting the batteries though.

Next time if I use the same mounts I'll put velcro on both sides of the pack so it will be held front and back as well as the strap.

The cf held up for sure. The fuse would probably not be that hard to fix, its the wing that is beyond my capability - might let ryan_m give it a try

i`d love to have another one. i just put the maiden on mine yesterday. it`s been ready for about 2 weeks but the wind has been blowing & now our field is flooded so i went to another field & flew. 6 lb. 7 oz. with a hunnert on it. i bet it would hover with a 82. it was a little shakey at first but after harriering around for a minute i got 3 tail touches in & then landed to look it over. i only used 1/4 of a tank. control horn on the right ron was loose  so i tightened it up , finished off the tank & flew another tank thru it. it flys as good as my moass but the moass is beat up bad so it`s not a good comparison.
needs more aileron throw, 35 deg. up & i kept the 45 deg. down. don`t know why i got the differential ?

Erik mentioned something about maybe night flying at the up coming VA ProBro. So here's my lightsabre 56. I'm running the LED's off a 800mah 11v lipo. The LED's are the one's from hobbyking. I bought 4 rolls total. These things are really bright in person, especially the white ones. The last 2 pics are with the lights on in my garage.

Nah, I just finished wiring/soldering it up today. Yeah I shouldn't have any trouble with landing. It has plenty of landing lights. If I hang it from my ceiling it will almost light up my entire garage.

Wow Kenny, that looks great! Now I'm going to have to rig up something too. :) I've got a LightRC 48" Yak that I finally finished. I think that would be a good candidate.

But.. I did not really see anything happen..I figured there was some kind of battery ejecting wall or cash drop..It looked like it was just flyin and then stopped..Wierd.

Totally sucks though..I just watched it again..That last look you gave the camera..I could feel it! Ughh..

OK - recovered from the crash of sabre #1 and got sabre #2 built and flying.

Extra heavy duty battery holders this time.

I may crash it again but won't be cause the battery falls out:)

Wanted to see what people were using to keep the hatch on the wing closed.

I've got some magnets and a latch but neither one looked straightforward.

needing some ideas

thanks

the tape and screw are good ideas, but I'd rather not have a hatch on a removable wing plane...but that's just me.

If fact, on my first Mojo, I cut out the hatches and just covered over the hole. Worked just great!

I'd rather not have a hatch either but I think that is the only way to access the wing screw that holds the wings on
