Guys, I had the pleasure of knowing Buddy and I'm still in shock. I remember meeting Buddy the first time. I really can't remember the year but it was at the Memphis Belle back 6 or 7 years ago. His energy and excitement was unmatched. I worked with Buddy three occasions putting on fly ins. His hard work and attention to details were why the fly ins were so successful. I will always remember one year I arrived to Merigold, MS around 2AM and Buddy was there to great me at the flying field. He and Jack Estes were staying in Buddy’s RV at the flying field. I was putting my plane on charge and noticed some road rash my Edge received on the trip there. Without hesitation Buddy demanded that Jack and I pull the plane out so he could help me fix it right then and there. Needless to say after 2 hours of working on it we finished and I was able to fly all day. That’s what kind of guy Buddy was. I was very fortunate to get to talk to Buddy on two different occasions in September. He was very sick but he was still up beat. I had so much respect for Buddy and will really miss what he brought to our great hobby but most of all I will miss my very good friend.

Paul, I can't think of a more beautiful tribute to Buddy's memory. If you will let me know when you plan to do it, I'd like to be there. However, if you want this to be just the "Bros", I totally understand.

I just found out the message from Buddy's mom.

Man, it brought tear to my eyes... I can tell I'm not that tough, but I don't have wet eyes easily.

I didn’t know Buddy, but just seeing the good memories you all have about him, I can tell he was a great guy, because I figured out you can only survive in this hood being a good person. And I not mean survive like being around here, in this website. I mean the real friendship you all have there. Dude, this make me respect all of you every day more.

Ya know, I don’t feel like a real Bro, but I would like to. I’m not a Bro just because I fly slabs of because I have a ProBro website account.

Being a Bro is to fell all of this you guys have related in this thread.

It’s have you all like real friends. It’s to go to all events and have beers with all of you. It’s to have good memories of all of you to share with the family and then be excited to go to the next event just to feel everything again.

For that reason I love to see all the pics you guys have posted. But I’m not telling about slabs pics. I like to see pics of all of you and then think to myself how you guys are personally.

The pics makes me feel just a little more Bro than I really are.

What I can say is, Buddy passed away and looking for the kind of man you guys think he was, he is truly with God now.

But I pretty sure he was really happy being a real Bro with all you guys around and so you guys can say you did a really good thing to his life.

Maybe one day I’ll have this pleasure too. Maybe I will be there some day to see how really feels to be a real Bro. And I’m sure it rocks. It’s something for life!!!

The last time I spoke with Buddy was right before a NashBro. The last thing he said was, "I'll do anything I can to help you out. I'll see you at NashBro!". Buddy was ready to help, have a good time and tear some shit up!
