Thanks for cutting the short kit, Mark. :tu:

Building one of Menace's Wild Tigers reinforces the paramount importance of building to a clean, straight edge, especially the control surfaces. You can build to plans just right and still end up with warps and whack hinge lines...

That, and I like to color outside the lines. :rolleye:

My standard specs for OS 40fp builds are 40" span and approximately 2.5 lbs.

The Glitter wing seems smallish compared to yaks and mojo's, but I'm sticking to 40" with 3/8" fuse... :drunk:

Looks good but there should be no problem keeping it at 2-1/2lbs st the 44" span. Knocking 4" off the span is getting rid of a lot of wing area. Should deff make it even more violent in high energy stuff but might kill it in stability in high alpha stuff.

So I'm getting ready to build this JR. I made the mount per the plans and I used hard 3/8" balsa core with 1/16" ply sides. I'm using a 40fp. Should I put hardwood rails in the mount or think it would be ok as is? I'm leaning toward leaving it alone and maybe using some aluminum 90' angle on the drivers side where the bolts bolt the engine on. Thoughts?

When I do mine with the 40fp I will cut in hardwood rails. You might want to check to as the opening in the plans around the E setup may be wider than the 40fp mount.

Your right. It's a bit wider. I think I'll widen it a bit more a tighbond in 3/8 by 3/16 maple pieces.

head's up has been out of stock on the 10mm tubes for awhile.

ReadyMadeRC has 20 left in stock. Great vendor, I'm picking up a few of them tomorrow.

How is the shipping at ReadyMadeRC?

I got 3/8"x48" tubes from ACP Composites. Got them for $5 a piece and with shipping it came out to about $6.50 a piece.

They're quick getting it out the door, but rates are standard for getting shit from Cali. I've got a few other parts in my cart to patch up my FPV plane that I can only get from them.

Started on the wing for hooks JR. Laminated the parts needed for the center section so while glue was drying I cut all the stuff needed to make up the mainframe spars and sub spars.
