Gots me a mini FPV...

Was in the local hobby shop last week, picked up a micro FPV quad and Fat Shark glasses to go with it. The quad was about $100, and the glasses were on sale for about $160. I'm having a fun time flying around the house - pretending i'm in a race. Fly upstairs, zip around the bonus room while the wife is on the treadmill. zip back down stairs for a lap around the living room. Trying to land on the top of a ceiling fan blade has been tough.

The quad had taken a fair share of abuse too. The cats are curious, and run around to follow it, but don't try to jump up and attack it like a bird. That's good.

This is the little FPV quad I bought.

These are the goggles. They come with everything needed to fly, and a second camera that I can install on another plane or quad. These work great. The best part is that I don't need to wear my glasses and the screen is in perfect focus.

The goggles also come with a couple of output video cables. I've plugged them into the TV in the living room, and flown using the screen instead of looking thru the goggles. It takes more concentration using the TV. I have to NOT watch the quad as it flies by, but keep watching via the TV instead.

So I've got this thing going now, but I'm not very happy with the recording. What are y'all using to record? I have a eachine 5800d. I don't think it records very well. It does o.k., but there's gotta be a better option..

Best recording is with a GoPro or similar onboard. Next best is an onboard recorder taking video straight from the camera. After that, record from a good ground station and lastly, recorder built in to your goggles. I just got a set of the Eachine 5800 VR D2 goggles with the recorder built in. I have recorded a couple flights but not viewed them yet. The goggles themselves are useless to me as I can't get even a reasonable focus with my eyes.

Ok, so on this little qx100, there ain't gonna be an on board dvr, so i guess i get what I get. But it seems like I've seen some better video recorded from some of these little micros than I'm getting.

Is it poor picture quality or poor video reception?

It's reception, I got a Rhcp antenna yesterday, it helped a little, the picture in the fatsharks is pretty good, but on the little dvr screen, not so much. Is it because of the linear antenna? It seems to pick up pretty good from my plane. But even then the video isn't as good. I'm gonna get an on board dvr for the plane, but I'd like to get some good video from the little micro quad.

Some video of my RotorX Atom122. Waiting on Tattu 850mAh 4s batteries.
This is with Tattu 450mAh 3s.

Emax BabyHawk on 2s 450mAh Bonka batteries.

My newest build that I haven't gotten tuned in yet. Martian2 5" with 2206 2300kv red bottom clones on Tattu 1300mAh 4s. Recorded on GoPro session.

Last and kinda boring. A video from the Phantom 3 advanced.

How are you recording video?

Yours does flips?
I always record on my Fatshark Dominator goggles, and run a GoPro session on my 5" quad.

If you were asking about mine flipping, yes my tiny whoop flips, rolls, has air mode etc. with a Newbeedrone BeeBrain flight controller.
